We're at the SCOPE west supply chain event this week in Las Vegas. The format of the trade show aspect is a new experience for us. Our days are filled with short appointments with potential clients that have some interest in taking a look at us. We have 42 scheduled appointments in two days!

The exhibitor forum is rather egalitarian - everyone has the same booth size. It's an envrionment where we can compete on the merits of our offerings and we're certainly pleased with that.

The exhibitor venue is relatively small so prospects and suppliers don't have to walk too far to meet and talk about companies' needs and how to fulfill them.
During keynote and other presentations we're hearing analysts talk about how supply chain strategy is becoming more of a intrisic part of growth planning for companies. We're pleased to hear that. It's certainly preaching to the converted when we hear it. Perhaps it is time for that last vestige of 'indirect costs' to disappear and become part of the global bottom line impact. Last we heard 'indirect' dollars and direct dollars on the bottom line spend and save the same way.
